The owners of Mein Heim Estate, Hennie and Christine Spangenberg purchased the farm at the end of 2012, fulfilling a dream of owning a small part of the Northern Cape. The farm is situated only 15km from the edge of Kimberley. It is near enough to pop into the city for a meal, but far enough to get away from the noise and bustle of city life. We are truly blessed to be able to offer our guests a tranquil setting. We have 3 self catering units on the premises. Our rooms are all air-conditioned and we aim to provide our guests with affordable and comfortable accommodation. The farm was previously a warmblood stud farm, and it was easy to transform into a stable yard and equestrian centre to house our own horses, as well as providing top class livery to others. Our riders are happy here, and have enough space to go on outrides in the veld and work their horses in well maintained arenas. We have also started a breeding programme for copper springbuck on the farm. At present our herds of springbuck, gemsbuck and blesbuck are growing at a phenomenal rate. We are super proud of each and every little new buck born on Mein Heim. All our bedrooms have air-conditioning to help cope with our hot summer months. In winter the beds have electric blankets. Our units are all self catering, with dishtowels and dishwashing liquid supplied. Welcoming coffee/tea and rusks are provided. All bedlinen and bath towels are supplied.
